Conceptual Study of nábřeží Stromovky and the Wider Area in Front of the Bridge over the Troja-Podbaba Navigation Canal in za Elektrárna Street

The modification of nábřeží Stromovky and the wider area in front of the bridge over the navigation canal is seamlessly connected to the overall Císařský ostrov concept. The area can now be more than an attractive location to spend time in. It will also become an important link between Stromovka and other parts of the Troja Basin. Visitors can look forward to a calming of the traffic on the waterfront and a new café, as there is currently no café in this part of the park.

What should happen?

The connection between Stromovka and the river will be improved
Recreation conditions for Prague residents will be improved
Traffic along the waterfront will be reduced
A supplement to the existing bridge is being considered, for example a bascule-type footbridge to Císařský ostrov.
A new café and sanitary facilities will be located on the waterfront, as these are currently missing in this part of the park.
There will be a more even use of the parks in the Troja Basin, thus easing pressure on the main parts of Stromovka and the Troja Embankment.
